Travel Tips

Traveling can be one of the most enriching experiences in life, but it can be hard to plan for. See below for some helpful tips as you begin preparations.

Air Travel

  • Use points where possible.  Travel credit cards can be super helpful in paying for air travel.  Talk to Molly or Nikki for help getting started.

  • Use google travel to find the lowest cost and try separate one ways in case those are cheaper

  • Use TSA precheck or Global Entry for quick in and out at the airport

  • Try not to check a bag in case of lost luggage or last minute flight changes

Packing

Try not to overpack.  Go for items that mix and match and leave a little room for shopping!  Pack less bulky items in your luggage and wear the bulky ones on the plane.  When traveling in Europe, a large backpack can work well, especially if you are hitting multiple destinations via train where there are lots of stairs.
